WIP Wednesday

Another week and I did not sew at all on the green square quilt posted last week. I did, however, almost finish my asterisk bee block.

I also sorted through my colours for the Skill Builder.

It is way harder to take good pictures of quilts and fabric than I was led to believe with all the fabulous pictures on everyone's blog!

Happy Quilting Everyone!!

Friday Finishes

It was a very exciting day today. I received my order from Mad about Patchwork for the Simply Solid Bee. They are fabulous. Also because I could not resist I picked up some Salt Water. My granddaughter is in love!!! I can see a big girl quilt in her future. The last material she got this excited about was Vintage Modern.

I also received my winning package from Tessa Marie at http://thesewingchick.blogspot.ca/

My Friday finish for this week were Christmas presents, late not early. Very happy to have these off my WIP list.

Life on Hold

My husband of 31 years passed away quietly in his sleep at 11:00 pm on January 6, 2013. I cannot imagine my life without him. Limbo time.

Sunday 6 January 2013

This is it. The day I have been dreading for 8 years is looming. As I type the words they seem more real. The word that springs to mind is vigil, and this is day 4.

Well I figured out how to add buttons, sort of. They are over lapping, however, it will have to do for this evening. Do not have the picture thing figured out yet, but soon I hope. Still working on the Christmas presents. It is actually quite relaxing to not have the deadline looming.  I am hand sewing the binding and I always enjoy that part. Thank goodness I have the hand sewing to keep me company in the hospital. The hours float along as I sit and sew and chat. The stitches are as always filled with love.
