Another week and I did not sew at all on the green square quilt posted last week. I did, however, almost finish my asterisk bee block.
I also sorted through my colours for the Skill Builder.
It is way harder to take good pictures of quilts and fabric than I was led to believe with all the fabulous pictures on everyone's blog!
Happy Quilting Everyone!!

Your skill builder fabrics are gorgeous! What a great collection (I agree though - fabric is HARD to photograph.)
ReplyDeleteNice stack of solids and the asterisks are really fun. Inside lighting is just the worst. I know there is an art to making photos of quilts and fabric look true to color I just haven't mastered it yet and am usually too anxious to post to care until I see it later and think Oh, My!
ReplyDeleteYour asterisks are great!!
ReplyDeleteGetting good photos is the bane of my blogging existence - it's so tricky and with our winters here… Your photos are lovely but I know exactly how hard it is to get decent ones, and how extremely hard it is to not criticize your own photos and judge them with a harsh eye. I always try to do the best I can with what I've got and if people are truly bothered by my photos, they are welcome to buy me an SLR camera and come over to light my "photo shoots" for me. :-)
Yay for solids! Those colors for your skill builder are wonderful. I love those asterisks, I have been eyeing them on the flickr group for simply solids and I am totally envious of their recipient.
ReplyDeleteI agree for colours and picture-taking! Mine end up to be too red! Love your bright colours! Your blocks will be great!
ReplyDeleteYes, taking photos, especially indoors is quite a challenge! My photos usually end up looking yellowish. Love the asterisk blocks. Are those Kona solids? They look yummy!
